Challenger Division kids throw the first pitch.

Portsmouth Little League held opening day ceremonies this morning at Glen Park, featuring a celebration of last year's 10-11 Year Old State Championship team, picture taking, running into friends and meeting parents of teammates, and, as always, free hot dogs for the team that yelled the loudest during the introductions (Norbury Construction).

Always a fun event, and today they celebrated Bill Hall's last year as president of the League and noted all the accomplishments under his tenure. Also, this year it was held at Glen Park — in this reporter's opinion, much safer and more fun than trying to deal crowds crossing East Main Road.
