Portsmouth kids on TV tonight [Update, with clip]

Set your digital video recorders for the ABC Evening News at 6:30 tonight, when a video clip of Portsmouth's Hathaway School first-through-third graders will be appearing as part of their Lincoln's 200th birthday coverage.

The kids assembled in the snowy yard below the school a couple weeks ago and held up cardboard squares to form a giant image. Teachers and staff shot the video from a bucket truck for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. You can see the whole video on their YouTube channel, under the Lincoln Bicentennial birthday wishes playlist.

You never know if things are going to get cut in a live news show, but they did contact the school for clearance this afternoon, according to an e-mail from the principal, Dr. Christina Martin.

Update: Here's the clip.
