Received this letter from school committee incumbent and write-in candidate Terri Cortvriend. Just FYI, Terri received 1,496 votes, which I personally think is an awesome showing for someone not on the ballot.

To the Editor,
I would like to publicly thank all who helped with and supported my Write In campaign for Portsmouth's school committee. I would also like to thank the community, especially the school community for the opportunity to serve you; I am honored by your trust. To my fellow committee members I would like to state unequivocally that you have my utmost respect and my commitment to stay involved. Finally, to the newly elected officials in Portsmouth, the responsibility for continuing to provide for and improve the quality of education in our town now rests on your shoulders and I will do what I can to support you in this effort.
