Congratulations to the Portsmouth 11-year-old team! From the PLL e-mail:

PLL would like to congratulate Matt McGuire, his coaches and the team for their fantastic effort. They defeated Lincoln, RI on Friday night 5-1 to take the honors. There is not a regional tournament in Little League before age 12, otherwise this team would have represented RI in New England play. The team and their families devoted countless hours of time with nearly twenty practices during the district and state run, sometimes twice per day.
