Today from 12-3, there is a Wind Turbine Festival happening at Portsmouth Abbey, sponsored by People's Power and Light. Pack a picnic lunch and gather 'round the foot of the Portsmouth Abbey Wind Turbine to enjoy live music by THE GNOMES, sample some delicious local food, play some games, and hang out with folks in the Rhode Island green community.

Beautiful day out there, so why not stop by.

Update: As you can see, it was sunny but not a lot of wind. Rich Talipsky of the EDC was there shooting and said the video of the groundbreaking should be ready to go on Cox sometime next week, so look forward to that. Brother Joseph was doing demos of the turbine, which is always big fun. There was cool folky tunes from The Gnomes, displays by green energy folks, and a "make your own pinwheel turbine" which Jack enjoyed.
