OSR spins like a top

Oooh, looks like I stepped on a corn. Knew they were reading when I saw the referrals come in from their wp-admin screen. But here's how they're backpedaling:

By the way, we never said that “Chuck Levesque hates the United States.” That would only be true if you believe that (a) we are in communication with space aliens, and if you agree that (b) Chuck Levesque is “a collectivist, communist, socialist, or fascist.” The commenter seems to be employing the transitive property a little too strictly. It’s great for math; not so good for blog postings.

From their original post:
First you need to understand that collectivists like my brother actually despise the whole notion of patriotism and national sovereignty, and hold particular contempt for the United States. They hate the United States because its founding principles are the polar opposite of collectivism — via OSR

Let's parse, shall we? Collectivists like my brother (meaning my brother is a collectivist) followed in the next sentence by "They hate the United States." If the antecedent for "They" is not "collectivists," what could it possibly be?

They did thank me for the readership, and I am obligated to return the favor. Welcome to reality. Sorry about the lack of animated gifs.
