Dear Mr. Fitzmorris...
In the most recent issue of your newsletter, the PCC takes credit for
supporting the election of 7 candidates for Town Council and School
Committee. According to several of the candidates, this support took
the form of the PCC's endorsement.

Joe Lorenz, in the newsletter of October 2006, says the endorsement
was mailed to non-members. Jamie Heaney believes it was sent to
"thousands" of Portsmouth residents. How many non-members was it
mailed to, and what was the total cost, including printing,
preparation, and postage, of the non-member distribution?

This is not an idle question; I was prompted to ask based on a
communication from Richard Thornton, Director of Campaign Finance at
the RI Board of Elections, and I would appreciate any information you
can provide.
