Congratulations to the PMS boys basketball team, who took the RI state championship last night. Here's the note that went out to parents today:

Congratulations to the Portsmouth Middle School Boys Basketball team for an outstanding performance in yesterday's state championship game. The boys basketball team defeated number 1 seed Ferri Middle School by a score of 72-61. High scorers for the game included 8th graders Cole Swider with 25 points and Chris Herren with 20 points. Fellow 8th graders Zack Rahilly, Matt Clark and Jack Page worked hard, out-rebounding the other team. 7th grade Point Garde James Reilly had a solid game on both defensive and offensive ends. Thank you to all the fans that came out to support the boys on their journey this year. It was a great team win and a perfect end to a fantastic season!
