Portsmouth high school adds virtual options

Beginning this fall, juniors and seniors at Portsmouth High School will be able to take classes through the non-profit Virtual High School (VHS) consortium, principal Robert Littlefield announced in a e-mail this afternoon.

We are happy to announce a new opportunity for juniors and seniors this fall.

Is there a course you wish you could take but PHS just doesn't offer it?

Mandarin Chinese?
Advanced Placement Psychology?
World War II in the Pacific?

These are just a few of the dozens of courses that may be available for credit this year.

We have a limited number of seats available this fall in Virtual High School, a completely online secondary school catalogue of courses. Interested students should open the attachment to this email and check out the information on VHS.

If interested in taking a course in addition to your regular course of study, send an email to the address provided and request a seat. Seats will be assigned on a first come, first served basis to juniors and seniors.
