For the first time since absentee tracking began earlier this month, Portsmouth public schools were all below the state average last Thursday and Friday, based on data provided by the RI Department of Education (RIDE). While it's still way too early in flu season to draw any "so what" from these numbers, at least the crazy spike from two weeks ago has abated for now.
