Check out the awesome new benches that just arrived down by the seawall on Park Avenue here in Portsmouth. Perfect for having a sit to gaze out over the Sakonnet, or dining al fresco at our marvelous Flo's Clam Shack. Yay.

Who paid for these?
Nice addition to the community. I don't remember who paid for them. Was it the town or the state or someone else?

Grant funded
Hi, Maddie_C,
I checked with Town Administrator Bob Driscoll, and he said they were purchased with grant money received for "street furniture," and hinted that there may be some grant money to come that would allow the addition of (much needed) trash containers.
