Tomorrow, May 1, is the third annual Hidden Kitchens of Portsmouth tour, featuring seven of the town's most interesting kitchens, delicious snacks from local restaurants and businesses, and the opportunity to contribute to a good cause. Tours run from 11am to 7 pm and tickets are $25.

The event is sponsored by the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation (PPEF) Proceeds from the event go to provide grants for teachers in the Portsmouth schools (see coverage of their yearly showcase here). The PPEF (and the PTOs, and the teachers, and the parents) provide the cash to fill gaps that our ever-tightening budgets leave in our schools. This is a fun event with a lot of impact.
