My own membership in the high school band many years ago was the most enjoyable aspect of my high school experience. The Director, Ray Ainsworth, was great and respected everyone regardless of how well they played - as long as they came to rehearsals. He also looked great in his uniform, and to me he was like my own Professor Harold Hill (The Music Man). Thank you for posting this information.
